How Instagram Reels Downloader Works
A simple look at what happens between pasting a link and saving the file.
1. Copy the Reel link
Open the Reel in the Instagram app or on instagram.com, tap Share and choose Copy link. The link looks like instagram.com/reel/ followed by a short code.
2. Paste the link
Paste the link into the box on the homepage. You can paste it yourself or tap the Paste button.
3. We check the link
When you tap Download Reel, the link is checked on your device and again on our server. Links that are not public Instagram Reel links are rejected straight away with a clear message.
4. We fetch the video
Our server asks a third-party provider to get the Reel from Instagram. This usually takes 20 to 40 seconds. You will then see a preview with the format and quality.
5. Download
Tap Download Now to save the MP4. If the video opens in a new tab instead, use your browser's Save or Download option.
